Internship Application Procedures
Students must submit a(n):
- Cover letter of application indicating their qualifications and interest in an internship. - Current resume - Unofficial transcript (may be obtained from the Registrar's Office or online at myunt.edu) - Be sure to include an email address and a phone number where you can be reached during semester break
Internship Requirements and Qualifications
The following are the requirements and qualifications for an internship:
- Junior/Senior status is required: You must have at least 60 credit hours completed. If you are a transfer student, you must have completed at least 12 hours at U.N.T. before you can be eligible. - You must have completed 12 International Studies approved hours before being accepted. - The student should have an overall 3.0 G.P.A. (or better). If your G.P.A. is a 3.0 in your major, you can still be eligible for the program, so long as you have completed at least 15 hours in your major and your overall G.P.A. is at least a 2.8. Under no circumstances will anyone with an overall G.P.A. lower than 2.8 be accepted for the program. |

Academic credit is received according to the following:
1 hour academic credit = 50 hours internship work 2 hours academic credit = 100 hours internship work 3 hours academic credit = 150 hours internship work |
